Base Camp Lindsey is a non-profit organization founded in Wichita Falls to provide living quarters for homeless veterans in our community. The 14,000sf facility sits on 1908 6th St and originally was built in 1969 as a nursing home. The building requires various repairs and renovations to be code compliant with the City of Wichita Falls. SLA conducted numerous site visits and face-to-face meetings with the BCL Board to understand their vison as it relates to the building’s needs. SLA provided a Facility Assessment Report which included a code study and documentation of the failing systems. SLA then provided 100% completed design drawings and will provide construction admin services as funding is acquired and construction begins. SLA is proud to provide our design services in-kind for this important project for the betterment of our community.
