SLA was contracted by TxDOT to provide the design for a new Maintenance Facility and supporting site structures on an undeveloped site located on US Highway 69 in Woodville, Texas. The primary facility a single-story building constructed from a pre-engineered metal building frame. The exterior is clad in prefinished, low maintenance materials. The administration facility is approximately 15,000sf and include offices, training/conference spaces, restrooms with showers, break room, and support spaces. Provisions for future expansion was included in the design. The shop and equipment bays, storage, vehicle storage, truck wash bay, fueling station, and an equipment shed are all located adjacent to the administration facility. Site improvements include grading, service utilities, approaches, parking lots, security fencing and landscaping. New site structures also include brine and asphalt storage tanks and spreader racks.
