This project required the design for new construction of the Auto Tech / Building Trades / Ag Sciences Center (10,630sf) to provide three classrooms, restrooms, and an auto repair shop along with associated sitework. The education space and shop includes six work bays to support the Auto Tech and Building Trades classrooms. There are five bays dedicated to auto repair and include a vehicle exhaust system, vehicle lifts, tire repair equipment, wheel alignment, and brake lathes as well as tool storage rooms. One of the shop bays is dedicated to Building Trades classroom and includes utilities such as electrical, water, and compressed air to support the tools used for the construction and building trades program. The Ag Services classroom provides a veterinarian's exam table and wash sink for small animal grooming and instructional purposes. Outside of the Ag Sciences classroom is a large animal containment area to be used for preparing animals for stock shows. The area includes a concrete wash pit with plumbing / drainage system, dirt area with livestock fence panels and is covered with a lean-to canopy system as part of the pre-engineered metal building system.
